Welcome to Arizona Day Out

Howdy folks, my name is James Robert and I want to welcome you to my little slice of the internet all about Arizona adventures – Arizona Day Out!

I’ve called the amazing state of Arizona home my entire life. I grew up in Flagstaff where I fell in love with the outdoors, spending countless days camping under the stars, hiking through vibrant red rocks, and rafting down rivers faster than you can shout “rattlesnake!” I moved down to Phoenix for college and have lived in the Valley ever since, loving the energy and excitement of city life here while still being less than a day trip away from breathtaking wilderness and natural landmarks like you wouldn’t believe.

After so many years exploring Arizona high and low, my weekends jam-packed with offbeat tours, extreme sports, hidden local secrets, and good old tried-and-true sights, I started sharing my adventures with blogs and social media updates. The next thing I knew, I had people reaching out asking for travel tips and recommendations for their upcoming trips to AZ! My little passion project connecting folks to my home state snowballed into the website you’re reading now – Arizona Day Out.

At Arizona Day Out, and a few explorers like me aim to be your #1 resource for planning your ideal trip through Arizona, whether that’s a 2-week nonstop road trip or simply finding a new local hiking trail for next Saturday morning. I’ve covered everything from the best Grand Canyon photo spots to the top restaurants to take your parents to in Scottsdale to tips for actually seeing a dang roadrunner (trickier than you think!).

Through our detailed guides, insider maps, and personalized trip-planning services, we want to make experiencing Arizona as easy and joy-filled as possible, helping families, couples, and adventurers uncover hidden gems in cities, off-the-beaten-path trails, secret swimming holes, and so much more awesomeness.
